Since the previous post and the disastrous glaze tests….i’ve been working away in the studio, preparing an order for a corporate gift thing, plus another order…..over 100 mugs to be made in 2 weeks. Now the making of the mugs isn’t the issue, that’s just a couple of days of throwing, trimming and handling…it’s the need to fill the kiln that adds to the work needed to be done! So, i’ve been busy making bowls, other stuff.
Also been exploring a new technique i found http://ceramicartsdaily.org/bookstore/creating-curves-with-clay/. Pretty impressed with this woman’s work so i decided to copy her example.
Everything is in the bisque kiln, and by wednesday it will all be glazed and in the glaze kiln!
This is on Dominion Beach, close to Glaze Bay.
the last 2 images are from Englishtown Beach, one of our favorites as it’s only a 15 minute drive there!
