It’a catch up time…

Once again i’m doing a catch up blog….lots of stuff been going on around here over the past few months. Cabins have been busy, the showroom and studio have been welcoming all sorts of visitors, and the lovely Baddeck farmers market has come to a close for me anyway. i think it has one more week to go!

I spent 2 weeks in late September, visiting my lovely daughter Morgan, out in Vancouver! What a wonderful time we had….here are a few images….needless to say it was a bittersweet parting….loved being out there exploring the city with her, and i was happy to return home!

what a beautiful city – the mighty trees in Stanley park had me in awe….the cityscape with the mountains in the back were breathtaking….the weather was very mixed!
We spent a weekend in Gibsons Landing and visited this delightful pottery there….spent a long time chatting with them about all things clay of course.

the last night there, Morgan and I spent the evening creating a really cool painting which spanned 2 small canvases….i have one half here and she has the other half!

Here is Terry’s daughter, Jessica with her husband Jay…it was wonderful to have the ‘Westcoast daughters’ meet each other.

I’ve been playing around with the shapes of some of my usual items and so here are a few images of what will be available at the Christmas show up in Sydney, November 29 – December 2nd.

Vase or Utensil Holder!

Open Casserole.

New creamer and sugar bowl.

And finally, new larger yarn bowls. i’ve had so many requests for these so i’ve finally made some!

As you can see there are still a few tomatoes to deal with!

Finally, i was invited the other evening to give a talk and demonstration at our lovely little Baddeck Library! It was such a treat to share the ups and downs of being a craftsperson for almost 30 years!

That’s all she wrote this time round….i’ll get another one out before the christmas season with some fired pots. In the meantime, if you want to visit the showroom, please just call ahead and i’m sure to be here!

We were some of the lucky people who heard Linda and saw her demonstration at the Baddeck Library! What a treat!

Hey Linda Good to hear form you. First, do you see the large man to the right in your photo of the road and trees in Stanley Park? His head is green and he’s striding forward. Great photo! I will be up next spring/ summer to buy an odd coffee mug, a little larger than your normal size. My favorite blue one crashed onto our tile floor and I’m missing it.  Guy & I spent 4 days driving down to Naples. We arrive last Monday afternoon. Since then we’ve been trying to get things in order and finish furnishing the house. There is still lots to be done and not much money to do it with. Still, it’s fun. The people here are really nice and it’s easy to do something every day. I find I have to say “no” in order to have a day or two of relaxation &/or getting things done.  Again, thanks for your update.

    Cheers, Jodie
